In the beginning of June Toshiba announced their latest line of 10-inch tablet devices that are targeted at different types of users. These are the Excite Pro, the Excite Write and the one you are about to explore – the Excite Pure.

This tablet is the most base-level one and is also the most affordable one of the three Toshiba Excite products

The design is somehow the one we have always seen with most of Toshiba´s tablet devices. However, despite the low price we get a pretty decent build overall quality. The plastic casing has a textured finnish on the back which is much better than the glossy slippery back panels of most of the cheap tablets.
This tablet is the most base-level one and is also the most affordable one of the three Toshiba Excite products. Actually for its $300 price it is a pretty well-packed machine.
We should probably mention that the first thing that we instantly liked was the 10-inch display. Toshiba’s AutoBrite screen technology delivers a very good viewing experience at 1280×800 pixel resolution.

The brightness level is decent enough not to cause any trouble while viewing the display outside. Distortion at the angles is hardly noticeable.
The performance on the Toshiba Excite Pure tablet is supported by Nvidia´s Tegra 3 mobile processor and 1GB of system memory. During the multitasking testing the tablet managed to perform well, with no considerable lags or freeze. This one here is a WiFi-only model, but we expect that a 3G configuration will also be available, but not at the same price of course.
There is a 3MP base camera on the back and a 1.2MP HD lens on the front. They do a great job taking decent shots, mostly outside as much noise and grain appears on the photos when the lighting is poor.

Internal user-available storage here is 16 GB with an option for expanding it with 64GB more using the micro SD card slot. There are also an HDMI port for high definition sharing visual contents and a micro USB port.
As we continued to explore this machine´s specifications we simply knew that we can hardly can expect more in terms of hardware for this pocket-friendly price machine. Android 4.2 is the platform that manages all onboard of the Toshiba Excite Pure.
The battery piece on board will provide enough power for you to enjoy 13 hours of browse and play with one single charge.
