The fastest and easiest way is to go to https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/. There, you’ll see the approved vendors and services. Simply click on the vendor, then select Cancel to stop the recurring payment.
Steps to Cancel a Recurring Payment:
-
Log In to Your PayPal Account
Open your browser and go to PayPal.com. Enter your email and password to sign in. -
Go to Your Settings
Click on the gear icon located in the upper-right corner of the PayPal homepage. -
Access “Payments”
In the settings menu, select the “Payments” tab. -
Manage Automatic Payments
Under “Payments,” click “Manage automatic payments” or “Manage pre-approved payments.” This will show you a list of your active and inactive recurring payments. -
Select the Merchant or Service
From the list, choose the merchant or subscription you want to cancel. -
Cancel the Payment
Once the details of the payment appear, click “Cancel” or “Cancel Automatic Payments.” Confirm your decision in the pop-up window. -
Verify the Cancellation
PayPal will show a confirmation message. You can also check the status of the payment to ensure it’s been canceled.
Important Notes:
- Canceling a recurring payment only stops future charges. You won’t get a refund for payments already processed.
- If the subscription is managed outside of PayPal (e.g., directly with a merchant), contact the merchant to ensure cancellation is complete.
- Keep an eye on your email for any confirmation messages regarding the cancellation.
By following these steps, you can easily take control of your recurring payments and avoid unwanted charges
