What if I told you that you can get a quad-core Android Jelly Bean tablet with a 7-inch IPS display and on top of all it is very elegant and stands out with premium aluminum design and costs less than $150? 2014 is the year that is going to be marked by a tablet revolution on the technology market.
The whole chassis is made of the aluminum
In this video review Digital Magnet will show you a tablet that beats the rest in its class in every possible way – design, hardware and price. This is RevoPad MS 760.
Appearance definitely wins this tablet 5 out of 5 points for build quality and materials used. The whole chassis is made of the aluminum. We are used to seeing this premium material only on the most expensive devices as it suggests excellent build quality. The matte silver back is super grip-friendly and keeps the palms cool even after hours of usage.
The right edge holds only a memory card slot
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that RevoPad MS 760 is the most beautiful looking tablet we have seen in the category of affordable machines. The periphery is again coated in aluminum and the edges are highlighted by a glossy metallic rim. Along the left edge we have the power key and the volume rocker, on top – a headphone jack, micro USB, micro HDMI and a charging port. The right edge holds only a memory card slot.
On the front RevoPad MS 760 offers a 7-inch IPS LCD display. The resolution is 1280×800 pixels, or in the language of pixel density it makes 216ppi. The result is more than impressive having in mind the low price tag of RevoPad.
RevoPad MS 760 offers a 7-inch IPS LCD display
Just to make a quick comparison – the popular 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 hits only 170ppi. In other words, the high pixel density here makes the details in the picture sharp and crisp. The 7-inch display here stands out from its competition with vivid but realistic colors. The high brightness levels along with the IPS panel make the screen easily visible in daylight and from narrow viewing angles as well. We enjoyed watching a FullHD video online and also reading the news online without experiencing discomfort in our eyes.
The speaker of the tablet is placed in a pretty unusual place – on the front below the display. The main purpose of this is to create a surround sound effect. Actually, we were satisfied with the sound quality and enjoyed listening to our favorite tracks directly from the tablet. Right above the display a video call camera is placed, the 3MP sensor delivers a good quality, suitable for skype calls.
