Sony Xperia Z – the World’s Thinnest 10-inch Tablet

Sony failed to conquer a prestigious place at the tablet market with their Sony Xperia Tablet S. Although it was promoted as a splash-resistant device, a manufacturing defect allowed liquids to easily enter the gap between the display and the chassis. This resulted in significant sales drop.

 Now Sony is back determined to conquer tablet market segment with the world’s thinnest 10 inch tablet. Digital Magnet reveals Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
On the outside this machine draws the attention with the minimalistic design. The bold and sleek profile is marked by a reflective periphery line. The material used for the frame is not only effective but also provides protection. Sony has used glass fiber polyamide, which is often used as a metal substitute in different automobile parts. This is how this tablet turns out to the one of the toughest ones out there. Its build structure incorporates Sony’s OmniBalance design.

Being packed up with such a powerful hardware inside usually results in high power consumption levels. On the Xperia tablet Z however, we had a hard time draining the high capacity 6000mAh battery piece. It easily provides charge for 8 whole hours of constant usage. Certainly battery life is one of this machine’s main advantages.
This elegant tablet comes in 2 different configurations concerning internal storage – those are 16 and 32 GB which are further expandable with 64GB more through the micro SD card slot. Its connectivity and communication abilities include HDMI via MHL, USB high speed 2 port and NFC.

 The effective HDR mode is active both for pictures and videos as well. However you will definitely have to capture your fun moments before sunset because a flash is not available. On the front there is 2MP HD camera with a sensitive sensor for high quality video call even in low-light.
With its silmness, lightweight and really powerful hardware inside this machine will easily become a favorite to 10inch tablet fans.
