Samsung’s flagman – the Galaxy S4 is expected to be one of most popular and sought smartphone devices for 2013. Samsung are determined to keep the interest in the S4 device alive by launching a mini version of it.
Its Super AMOLED display will deliver a resolution of 540×960 pixels at a pixel density of 256 ppi
For those who are fond of the S4 but not so much of its price nor its big 5-inch size this one is considered to be a great alternative worth considering.
The smaller brother of Samsung’s best smartphone is expected to be a mini 4.3-inch version which will share some of its specifications. Its Super AMOLED display will deliver a resolution of 540×960 pixels at a pixel density of 256 ppi.
A dual-core 1.6GHz Exynos 5210 will be responsible for the performance and productivity levels on board. Most probably two different configurations of the S4 Mini will appear, one of which will support dual-SIM capability.

It has been rumored that the S4 Mini will come with an 8MP back camera on the back in combination with a 2MP front optics. Just to make a quick comparison – the other in that class – the S3 mini came with 5MP base optics. Most probably the camera software will be the one we see in the S4, featuring Dual Shot, Sound and Shot, Drama Shot and many more innovative image modes.
S4 Mini’s interface and set of sensors will most probably provide some of the characteristic features of S4 like Smart Stay, Smart Scroll and Smart Pause.
The big question is whether it is going to support Air Gesture and Air View
The big question is whether it is going to support Air Gesture and Air View. Those touch-free gestures are typical of the Galaxy S4 and give you the freedom to control the device only by hovering your hand over the display.
In terms of storage an 8GB/16GB/32GB versions will be available, of course all of them expandable via the microSD card slot on board. As to the system memory it will most probably be 1GB on the 3G version and 2GB on the LTE version.
The mini version will support the 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity for fast data transfer, upload and download speeds. NFC capabilities of this device will probably be market dependent.
