Toshiba Satellite C55-A-127 targets a pretty wide market segment as this machine incorporates the two characteristics that seldom go hand in hand… these are good performance and low price. But with the emergence of so many different computer devices, tablets and hybrids the well-known laptop experience becomes more and more affordable.

The visual performance is good enough for enjoying different multimedia applications, videos and games

The 15.6-inch widescreen features Toshiba’s HD TruBrite technology on a LED-backlit screen panel. The visual performance is good enough for enjoying different multimedia applications, videos and games. The brightness is average for beginner-class machines like this one here. However, when much light is around the display does look a little bit dim. The glossy surface is maybe the greatest drawback about the screen as it’s really frustrating to work while light reflections distract your eyes. The display resolution here is 1366×768 pixels and the hardware piece used for the graphics is a dedicated Nvidia GeForce 710M with 1GB of independent video memory. It ensures flawless gaiming and running more professional software applications like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Abode Premiere pro and more.

Satellite C55-A-127 packs Intel Pentium 2020M Ivy Bridge processor

Satellite C55-A-127 packs Intel Pentium 2020M Ivy Bridge processor. The 2 cores in this CPU help reach 2.4GHz work frequency. 4GB of system memory are further boosting the performance. Actually, here the RAM is further expandable up to 16GB. This Satellite notebook scored a high result during our game and professional hardware testing. The machine responded immediately.
This notebook machine loads Windows 8 platform which as we all know is a touch-friendly operating system. However, here since a touchscreen is not available, you can initiate commands with multitouch gestures on the touchpad. The keyboard is a full-sized island-style one, which users who use it for professional purposes will appreciate very much.

As far as memory is concerned here 750GB SATA storage is available. Connection with other devices on the Toshiba Satellite C55 is established via 1 USB 3port, 2 more USB 2 ports, an HDMI output and an audio in and out. A card reader is available too. Since ultrabooks introduced the slim profile lines notebooks more and more often lack the essential to some users optical drive. Fortunately, this Satellite model offers one.
There is a lot more to desire from this Toshiba machine in terms of battery life, but in fact we can’t be that pretentious, because of its price tag. The 6-cell battery piece inside drains completely for 3 and a half hours so it’s mostly suitable for home and office use.
