What do we call a successful product? It’s no longer only a matter of specifications and fancy looks. Nowadays ideas are what really matters and I am talking about innovative and bold ideas, ones that pave the way for new market segments. A few brands have already made the first steps and one of them is Asus. What you are going to see in this video review is another flexible and multifunctional mobile computer solution. This is the Asus VivoTab RT.

The platform on board is Windows RT, which offers a Windows 8-like experience

The first impression is made by the ultra bright 10.1’’ Super IPS+ display that offers a 178-degree viewing angle. Its resolution is 1366×768 pixels and the brightness – 600 nits. Its design incorporates the features of an extremely portable machine being only 8.3mm thin and weighing only about 520g – with its ultra-light metallic case it is one of the thinnest RT tablets available on the market. The platform on board is Windows RT, which offers a Windows 8-like experience.
This ultra mobile Asus hybrid delivers to you the comfort and productivity of a notebook machine combined with the ultra mobility and flexibility of a tablet. VivoTab RT is equipped with a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU @ 1.3GHz, facilitated by 2GB of DDR3 RAM.
The tiles of the Windows RT interface are updated real-time so that you are always up-to-date with all the latest news and headlines.

You can easily switch to the second well-known desktop Windows appearance. Entertainment and multimedia is what reveals this hybrid’s full potential but it is by no means the only things the tablet has to offer. This Asus hybrid comes quipped with MS office 2013 so the VivoTab RT makes a wonderful business companion. What is more, the 25 watt-hour Li-polymer battery gives you 9 working hours. It guarantees the device will follow you and serve you right while enhancing your productivity at the same time. But wait, there is a surprise of course, the keyboard station holds another 22watt-hour battery that increases the battery life of the machine up to 16 hours.
The docking mechanism is specially designed to match the notebook appearance when the tab is attached to the keyboard. The mobile dock offers a full qwerty island-style keyboard and a touchpad, so that you are provided with the comfort and ease-of-use of a notebook. At the same time you are a click away from having a portable screen. The storage options are 2 – 32 and 64 GB. But you can always take advantage of the Asus WebStorage – it is a cloud application service that provides up to 10GB free space available for users to back up, sync and share files across desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets.

Among the integrated connectivity technologies inside the VivoTab RT are Bluetooth v4.0, and as optional 3G and 4GLTE. The interface offers 1 microHDMI port, 1 micro SD Card reader and one USB v2.0. Also an internal microphone and quad-speakers with Sonic Master Audio technology. It brings a rather powerful sound an unusually clear sound quality, having in mind that it’s a tablet after all.
A great multifunctional device that is suitable both for business and multitasking as well.
