Calling Sony Xperia Z a flagman is an understatement. Besides being that introduces a whole new segment to the smartphone market. It features a set of specifications and features we haven’t seen anywhere else. Describing it this way is bold but is not an exaggeration of the phone’s qualities. Let’s take a closer look and find out what is so special and new in Sony Xperia Z.
Undoubtedly this buddy will be the biggest Android event for 2013. Literally! Its huge 5 inch Reality Display Full HD screen panel works in 1920×1080 resolution.

Loading internet contents is also a piece of cake for the LTE/4G modem on board

The OptiContrast display panel delivers excellent graphics, vivid in colors and crisp detail at the breath-taking pixel density of 443ppi, leaving even the Iphone 5 way way behind with its 326 pixels per inch. The brightness levels are also top-notch. Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology incorporates professional expertise which delivers high-end performance for an ultimate viewing experience. Adreno 320 graphics processing unit gives you the opportunity to run high definition videos and play 3D games. Loading internet contents is also a piece of cake for the LTE/4G modem on the Xperia Z. Thus you end up with smaller percent of dropped calls and 10 times faster internet connection than 3G.
The smartphone excels with simple design and in an elegant sleek chassis of only 7.9mm thickness. The curved edges and the reflective periphery make the phone to stand out.

Sony Xperia Z is water resistant and dust-resistant as well

Yes the Xperia Z is by no means a design masterpiece but I can tell you one thing is one tough phone. Its frame is made of glass fiber polyamide which is often used as a metal substitute in different automobile parts. The glass itself also contributes to the phone’s toughness. The anti-shatter film on the screen surface and the back panel makes it extremely durable and reliable even with accidental drops. Water and coffee spills are also among the most common accidents damaging cell phones. No concerns with this one. Sony Xperia Z is water resistant. A shower scene wouldn’t be appropriate for all audiences but since we wanted to make sure of course we played with the phone under water. The flagman is also dust-resistant.
I think it’s now time to peek inside. The quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro delivers high-end performance. Multitasking knows no limits under the flawlessly smooth performance at 1.5GHz frequency, faciliated by the 2GB of system memory. The operating system is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean but an upgrade to v4.2 is expected.

The battery unit on board is a non removable Li-Ion 2330 mAh one. It provides enough power for pretty much everything this smartphone has in store. Battery stamina mode manages smart the on-board power. The heavy battery draining apps are automatically shut down when the screen is not active and turns them back on when you start playing with it..
Noisy environments are by no means the favorite ones to have a decent conversation. HD voice is a special feature here which makes further steps in delivering an excellent quality sound reducing background noises.

Sony Exmor RS mobile sensor on board delivers excellent quality images in any conditions

The base camera has 13 MP. Sony Exmor RS mobile sensor on board delivers excellent quality images in any conditions. Equipped with 2 lowlight sensors on the front and the back the Xperia Z allows you to always capture every moment in the best way possible. Noise reduction, HDR and Superior Auto mode are among the most useful and handy features. One of them concerns the video recording. This is the first smartphone in the world which records HDR video. The 2.2 MP front camera doesn’t fall much behind the impressive characteristics of the back one.
The Sony Xperia Z is available in black, white and purple color.
