ZTE is a Chinese company which is the world’s fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer by 2012 unit sales. Its products have already made its way on the European market, offering quite affordable Android devices. Here is one of their most popular handsets for this year. Digital Magnet presents ZTE Grand X Pro.

The display panel is of TFT type and brings a resolution of 1280×720 pixels

This would make a great first time smartphone as it is nothing short of what most people expect from their devices. Its design lines are clean and as a whole this is one unpretenciously looking handset. The drak-grey plastic is combined with a silver metallic bezel on the sides. The back surface is by no means slippery and as it has a rubbery finish. The handset feels a bit bulky because of its 146grams weight. We were disappointed that ZTE hasn’t provided a special place for the capacitive keys and they are taking up space from the 4.5-inch screen, making it automatically shorter.
The display panel is of TFT type and brings a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The brightness level is average but the display tends to be a little dim due to the lack of IPS technology.

However, you won’t experience difficulties using it outside. Viewing angles also doesn’t suffer from the lack of IPS. The display and its contents are easily viewable from any angle. The density of pixels is pretty good at 326ppi. Colors tend to look a bit unnatural which can be particularly the case with skin tones.
MadiaTek MT 6577 CPU is in charge of performance on board of ZTE Grand X Pro. Both of its cores work at 1.2GHz frequency. The smartphone handles well multiple applications and browse windows open thanks to its 1GB of system memory. However, 3D games and full HD might give it a little bit of hard time. Video performance and graphics are handled by PowerVR SGX531.
ZTE Grand X Pro comes with 4GB of internal storage and an option for up to 32GB memory cards. As to multimedia we find an 8 megapixel camera installed on the back.

The quality of the images average but still very much competitive to the cameras of most devices of this class. The images come out in 3264×2448 pixels. There is a front video call camera which makes videos in 640×480 resolution,
The Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery piece inside provides an average battery life. For example when fully charged surfing a whole day on a WiFi will not drain the battery completely. When you reduce the brightness and turn off the WiFi the ZTE Grand X Pro will be around for more then 16 hours.
